no love less

No Love Less is a Houston-based band that melds the minimalism of early art punk, the raw resilient power of hardcore, and the hectic experimental fervor of indie rock. Since their debut in Fall 2010, they have paved a fiery path in the Deep South, arranging shows across Texas with cohorts like Poor Dumb Bastards, Adrian and the Sickness, The Hates, Hickoids, Anarchitex, and Mydolls.

The band features two members of Mydolls – well-honed bass player Dianna Ray and nimble guitarist and singer Trish Herrera – who have spent forty-five years thriving in Houston’s punk community, dating back to key clubs like the Island (Houston), Raul’s (Austin), Bonham Exchange (San Antonio), and the Hot Klub (Dallas). David Ensminger, drummer for the Texas Biscuit Bombs, featuring Randy “Biscuit” Turner of Big Boys, joins them. Ensminger writes for Maximum Rocknroll, Popmatters, Razorcake, Trust, Art in Print, Postmodern Culture, and the Houston Press. He has written many books as well, including Visual Vitriol, a history of punk art and culture (Univ Press of Mississippi, 2011), Left of the Dial, selected interviews with punk icons (PM Press, Dec. 2012), Mojo Hands, a co-written biography of Lightnin’ Hopkins (Univ of Texas Press, April 2013), Punk Women (Microcosm Press, 2021), and the upcoming Roots-Punk: An Oral History (Univ. Press of Mississippi, 2023). Our very own Bob Weber is producing this studio album, demos, and rare tracks.

Enjoy their terse, taut, and frenetic songs combining narrative storytelling, glued-to-the-heart politics, roaring ruckus, and art-punk meets street-loud chants.
