Tim Muddiman collaboration in the works

We’re really pleased to announce a new collaboration with UK musician and visual artist Tim Muddiman.

This fall/winter, CIA is working with Tim to release a series of his experiences, in the form of new, experimental compositions he’s making across the pond. Thanks to the almighty pandemic/post-pandemic-era communication wonder known as Zoom, we are working together remotely, in anticipation of something great.

Tim is an artist and musician from Northampton, England. His music career was slowly born out of a deep love of Rockabilly, a Roland TR808 drum machine, and the texture of an infectious and rhythmic melody. By his teens Tim was djing at all night illegal Raves in the UK, and by his twenties, was touring Europe in a few different Industrial bands on guitar or bass guitar. At 28, Tim signed on to Gary Numan’s band, and for the next two decades would play almost 400 shows around the world as Gary’s bass player or guitarist.  In between a sometimes-busy tour schedule Tim played and wrote music for local Rockabilly band Junkyard and joined the Electronic Punk and alternative Hip Hop band Pop Will Eat Itself as their guitarist. In 2015 Tim produced and co-wrote a number of songs on PWEI’s latest album, Anti Nasty League.

To critical acclaim, Tim wrote two albums titled Paradise Runs Deeper and Domino Blitz in his own name and performed with band mates known as The Strange between 2014 and 2018. After a long tour with Gary Numan and at the end of 2018, Tim took a long break from the world of music to concentrate solely on painting, which he continues to do today. Now, in November 2024, Tim is a new artist on CIA, and plans are being made for the release of three EP’s in 2025. The music is self described as being like snakes of guitars gargling on the throat of an emotional bass string while sparse percussion and the English word create an abstract mind scape for the multi directional psyche.

Welcome, Tim!
